Since 2019, Marcopolo Rail has been committed to transforming rail mobility with innovation, technology and sustainability. The most recent milestone of this commitment is the delivery of modern trains to EFE Trenes de Chile, consolidating our position as a strategic partner in the evolution of metro-rail transport. This project offers efficient and safe transport solutions that boost the development of cities and contribute to a better quality of life, in addition to promoting the modernization of the Chilean rail system with trains that combine state-of-the-art technology, energy efficiency and greater comfort for passengers.
The Prosper family Light Rail Vehicle, developed by Marcopolo Rail, represents a significant advance in urban mobility. Consisting of two traction cars with their own cabins, each over 18 meters long, PROSPER is designed to deliver performance, efficiency and affordability.
The system has an electric generator integrated into the Power Pack, responsible for powering the entire vehicle and its peripherals. The four-speed automatic transmission, combined with the reversing gearbox, ensures precise steering control and more fluid operation.
With passenger comfort in mind, this model is equipped with four air conditioners, with cooling and heating systems, providing a pleasant environment in any season. Accessibility is also a priority: the vehicle has four automatic doors and retractable stairs, making it easy to get on and off both raised platforms and at ground level.
As a milestone of inclusion and innovation, the project includes a 100% accessible toilet, developed to serve all users with dignity and comfort.
